15+ Years of Experience

Specialist in anxiety, overthinking, burnout and low self-esteem

I’m Dr Joel Sheridan, a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and the founder of Therapy Cove. As a London psychologist, I often work with successful adults who appear capable and composed on the outside yet privately feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or emotionally exhausted. My work blends psychological depth with human warmth, offering a calm, reflective space for meaningful change.

Many of the people I work with are early- to mid-career professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs and leaders — smart, high-functioning adults — navigating pressure, expectations and emotional strain. Therapy offers a quiet space to slow down, understand your inner world more deeply and reconnect with what genuinely matters to you.

“Joel’s kind and professional approach helped me gain clearer insight and find better ways of dealing with challenges.”

A Calm, Reflective Approach to Therapy

I created Therapy Cove as a place where psychological science meets genuine connection. Good therapy is more than techniques — it’s built upon the foundation of feeling understood. Therapy works best in the context of a strong, professional relationship that gives you space to reflect and explore what has been shaping your internal world.

People often arrive feeling fraught, caught in cycles of worry, self-pressure or overthinking. It makes sense that when life feels relentless, your internal world becomes harder to navigate. Therapy provides clarity, containment and structure — along with the tools to move through emotional stuckness and create lasting change.

Clients often describe me as calm and compassionate as well as pragmatic— someone who helps them feel understood while gently guiding them toward deeper insight and practical steps forward.
